Backyard VRBO Fall Maryland Wedding | Matching Tattoos | Unique Wedding
Teal & Austin (she/her, he/him) had the fall backyard wedding of the decade! This wedding was full of love, excitement, authenticity, activities, and connection. When the two of them were dreaming up where they wanted their wedding to take place, they came across a VRBO property in Maryland that just felt perfect for their wedding day. The property had multiple rooms for getting ready and having a nights stay post reception, a beautiful backyard cozied in between corn fields, a spacious front yard with the perfect view of the sun setting over the trees, and a pond that made for the most gorgeous ceremony backdrop. Choosing this spot was basically a no brainer!
CHOOSING YOUR PERFECT WEDDING VENUE/LOCATION
Questions to ask yourself:
- What resonates with who you are as a couple.
- How much space do you need? How many guests will you have? Are you having the venue for the weekend or for the day?
- Are you looking for something unique? Look in places you wouldn’t expect to find a wedding venue (airbnb/vrbo, vineyards, parks, greenhouses)

WHAT TIME OF YEAR IS BEST FOR MARYLAND WEDDINGS
Maryland is truly such a beautiful place that is so lucky to have all four seasons. With this being said, all seasons carry their own beauty and energy with them. Most couples getting married in Maryland tend to lean towards Fall months (end of September, October, early November) and if not Fall, Spring (April, May, early June)! These months bring great weather for outdoor weddings. If you’re interested in an indoor wedding and want the magic of winter, November and December can offer this for your wedding day.
When booking your venue, keep in mind that peak wedding season in Maryland is in the Fall, so you’ll want to find your venue in enough time to make sure your desired date isn’t booked!
PLAN AN EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY
Teal and Austin knew they wanted to create a day that their guests would remember and be talking about for years to come. The matching tattoos they got in front of their guests was one way to do it! The two of them had Meghan from Grimm and Bare It Tattoos mark this day on them forever with the words “Til Death”. After getting their matching tattoos, Meghan opened her tattoo bar up for all of the guests to join and choose a flash tattoo from her specialized sheet made specifically for T&A’s wedding. How iconic?!

HOW TO END YOUR WEDDING NIGHT
Teal and Austin spent the end of their wedding night dancing to the sunset, enjoying homemade ice cream from the ice cream truck, and staying the night in the special VRBO that they held their wedding at!
Are you and your partner extroverts? You could consider celebrating with your loved ones all weekend! End your night in the same house/area as your guests! Wake up & celebrate some more ✨ or on the opposite side of the spectrum, end your night with sending your guests off and soaking in your last moments in your wedding space just the two of you! There are so many ways you can end your night, it’s worth taking into consideration what will feel the best for you and your partner without the pressure of thinking there’s only one way to do it.
